This survey explores the impact of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine on its religious life. It collects insights from experts both within Ukraine and abroad to offer a well-rounded perspective on how the war has influenced religious practices and community dynamics. Key areas of investigation include the effects of the displacement of over 8.5 million Ukrainians on religiosity and religious practices in Ukraine. The survey examines significant changes in the religious environment since the full-scale invasion, the adaptation and current state of religious communities, and the implications of Ukraine’s policies towards the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It also considers the evolving relationship between Ukrainian and Russian Protestant denominations, the role of churches in peacebuilding efforts, and the potential impact of Vatican peace initiatives led by Pope Francis.
