The book under review, Religion During the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict, is a collection of articles and materials by researchers from different countries. The focus of this collected monograph is on manifestations of religion in the framework of the armed conflict in Ukraine that has been ongoing since 2014. The book reveals the impact of religion on the armed confrontation, analyzes the legal field on which both religious actors and state act, and draws attention to certain key historical events that took place after 2014, namely the formation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in 2018. In addition to analysis from authors hailing from different fields of research, the collection offers two interviews to complement the broad picture of current events. The book is aimed at a wide readership and can be useful to anyone interested in the current religious situation, and especially to those researchers who study the issue of role of religion in socio-political conflicts.
