Abstract. The diversity of Ukrainian religious leaders’ experiences in living through the war, their search for answers to its critical challenges, and their personal reflections are thoroughly explored in the recent publication “Experiencing the War: Religious Dimensions. 10 Conversations with Community Leaders.” This volume presents interviews with ten faith leaders representing a range of Christian denominations and Eastern religious traditions. It illuminates their individual journeys through the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and highlights the practical responses offered by faith communities to emerging societal and humanitarian needs caused by the unfolding tragedy. Even though the rich material presented in the book represents only the tip of an iceberg which allows for further development and exploration, this work stands highly recommended as an excellent resource for both reading and dissemination. Its unique insights into the intersections of faith, resilience, and community response make it especially valuable for international audiences seeking to understand the religious dimensions of war and social transformation.
