Authors retain all personal non-property rights to their works in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights."
Licensing
By submitting an article for publication in the journal Essays on Religious Studies, authors grant the editorial board the right to:
- Publication of the article:
The editorial board receives the right to publish the article in electronic and/or printed formats, distribute it through the journal’s official website, and include it in scientific databases and electronic archives. - Editing:
Edit the article (ensuring that such changes do not alter the main content, logic, or conclusions of the author). The final version of the article is approved by the author prior to publication. - Licensed distribution:
All materials are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. According to this license it is: - Permitted: Copying, distribution, modification, or adaptation of the work for non-commercial use is allowed, provided proper attribution to the author and journal is given.
- Restricted: Changes or adaptations must be distributed under the same license.
Author Guarantees
By submitting materials to the journal, authors confirm that:
- The article is original, has not been previously published, and is not under review for publication in other editions.
- The author agrees to transfer to the editorial board a non-exclusive right to use the material for its dissemination and popularization within the academic community.
Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:
- Use the article, in whole or in part, for their own educational and research needs, including in the preparation of dissertations, conference papers, or presentations.
- Upload electronic copies of the article (including the final version) to:
- Personal websites or pages.
- Websites of institutions where the authors work, including institutional repositories.
- Non-commercial open-access resources.
- When using materials to create derivative works, authors must include a reference to the original article published in the journal.
Open Access
The journal’s editorial board ensures open access to published materials and supports their free use under the license’s conditions.
This policy aims to support authors in promoting their research and ensuring its wide accessibility within the academic community.
