In the introduction to the Ukrainian translation of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s book What Makes You Not a Buddhist, the author explains the relevance of its appearance in Ukraine and its importance for understanding authentic Buddhist teachings. The text presents the book’s central idea based on the Four Seals of Buddhist philosophy, which define the tradition’s view of reality and distinguish it from other religious systems. It also addresses the issue of informational gaps and syncretic interpretations that hinder access to reliable sources. In addition to analyzing the book’s content, the introduction provides detailed information about the author—his life path, activities as a teacher, writer, filmmaker, and founder of international educational and humanitarian projects.
